We got reinforcements, and not any kind but the awesome kind! Erik has joined us from Hyper Island and will stay with us for 3 months. He has 2 cats and is really smart, this we respect.

And we did not in any way photoshop this image, he just emits a glowing aura.

Viva-La-Logo

If you’ve been following our work closely you’ve noticed that we do quite alot of work with some happy chaps in London called unit9. One day our bestest friend Tom called us and asked us if we could redesign their logo. It needed to be classic, clean, modern, you know all that stuff that logos always need to be!

Process

While we realize that the cloud had always been a strong part of unit9’s identity we felt they where ready to move away from it as part of their logo & use it more as an ornamental piece. So from here on now the new cloud and the new logo will not live side by side, but instead compliment each other.

You know like Ying & Yang, but different.

Out with the old, in with the new

Our friends over at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago are very busy bees. Right now they are revealing their new stunning brand identity and they asked us to craft an animation to transition from their old logo to the new one.

Pop Secret Popcorns new website is all about the user, it’s a tool for you to create your own perfect movie night. By filling out things like who/when it will generate a suitable selection of movies for you to watch.

It removes all the bickering over movie nights, great!

To further enhance  the experience they wanted to create an environment where Popsecret characters could live. It’s been over two years since we got down and dirty on creating a 3D -esque environment, so when we got the question if we could create 3 different environments that where quick to load and looked warm we obviously said “Yes, it’s going to be awesome”.

The idea is that all these settings had to be at dusk, after all, that is the best time to watch movies. So we had to create 3 distinctive looks; sky,city,backdrop, you name it.

T-Post makes awesome t-shirt

There’s some of us at HS who have been avid T-Post fans for quite some time now. So when Fredrick at HS got the chance to model for their latest issue we all celebrated like it was 1999. Imagine our joy when it turns out that the t-shirt features an Augmented Reality print on it and you can play rock, scissors, paper with it. It’s awesome in every single way!

Banners x 6

Banners come our way very seldom nowadays, we have no idea about who actually makes them if not us, but we got a strong suspicion that it involves elves and a guy called “Buddy”.
Unit9 asked us to solve the issue creating exciting dynamic text (no more simple helvetica) and with a bit of hard work and plenty of experiments with flash filters we created 6 unique looks.

Dancing Colours!

Akzo Nobel is one of the worlds larges companies and when they in the summer of 2008 merged with several other companies to become EVEN BIGGER they also decided to update their… Somewhat ancient identity. And when they wanted the world to be aware about this epic update they turned to the us to help them with their online banners.

Water and ink!

The concept of the re branding campaign was that Akzo-Nobel was combining talent to creating something beautiful so we used some quite amazing shots of ink drops in water. The effect is quite spectacular and really stole the attention on the pages the banners was shown.
