Adobe Museum of Digital Media

A 24/7 museum, 365 days of the year. Giving everyone the chance to discuss and experience the latest digital installations of some of the most exciting artists around.

Once every now and then we get chances to work on projects that challenge us. Projects that aren’t about selling cars but instead try to educate people. This project isn’t really trying to educate anyone, but it’s exciting for other reasons. We helped with Unit9 and Goodby, creating a space where artists can create digital work for a digital world and at the same time having it be accessible enough for the average user.

The interface was designed around the idea that the user was inside one of the pods that you see around the museum, much like the building itself the graphical language of the menu needed to feel both organic and slightly digital at the same time. It needed to be belong but also be slightly odd.

There was a lot of exploration done on this project and some very interesting visuals where made, some of them we felt didn’t work in the environment but you can see some of the vast out-takes below. There is actually alot more to it, but if we would show everything we’re afraid you would never move on to the next project we’ve done.

Take me there now!

Some very early look & feel exploration
